With neither the new white unibody MacBooks and MacBook Air not including firewire ports and the 13” MacBook Pro’s £899 price tag being just £100 more than its polycarbonate sibling it wasn’t too hard to decide which model to buy.

I was steering towards the recently refreshed white MacBook, it may not be quite so sexy to look at but the specs are close enough for my needs and it has the clear advantage of a FireWire port which is missing from the its shiny siblings.
