Vodafone users could soon be experiencing the UK’s fastest mobile broadband speeds after the company confirmed it is rolling out 14.4 Mbps capability in areas with the highest mobile web usage.

Vodafone UK is to be the first mobile operator to offer the Samsung NC10 ultra-mobile netbook with built-in mobile broadband connectivity.

Vodafone has announced it is to offer the HTC Dream, the second mobile powered by the Android operating system from Google, exclusively across Europe. The phone is described as a “tablet-style device” will be available in white in the UK, Spain and France, black in Germany and in both colours in Italy.

Vodafone UK has launched a new pre-pay USB Modem which retails for £39 including an initial £15 credit. The company says this first top up, which provides 1GB of data usage, will not expire after 30 days and offers better value for money than rival firm’s offerings.

The Blackberry Storm, the first ever touch-screen BlackBerry smartphone, will be available exclusively from Vodafone from 14th November. Customers who want to be the first in the UK to get the device are being invited to pre-order in Vodafone stores or online at www.vodafone.co.uk/storm.

The seemingly unstoppable success of mobile broadband looks set to take another step forward next month when Vodafone starts selling Dell’s Inspiron Mini 9 ultra-mobile device with built-in mobile connectivity.
