Virgin’s West Coast Main Line Pendolino trains are to offer high speed wireless internet access after the company reached a deal with T-Mobile to deploy their Wi-Fi HotSpot service.
Food retailer Pret has announced a deal with Wi-Fi operator The Cloud which will allow the retailer to offer free WiFi access to all in-store customers. 60 stores have already been activated with the free service with all 130 stores expected to be complete by mid-December.
Users of BT’s Wi-Fi network clocked up twice the number of minutes online between April and September 2008, than the same period last year, according to figures released by the company today.
