Fantastic! April 4, 2010 Mrs. L. Gallager 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Something I can actually understand! So many other learning aids find it so difficult to drop all of the technicl jargon that people like me just don't get. Well done to everyone involved in making such a great product.
The perfect way to learn about computers March 29, 2010 Jenny Walsh (England, UK.) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If like me, you`ve tried night classes, big books and trying to teach yourself, you will love this. A friend recommended this whilst using it in her local library, so I gave it a shot. It is really easy to follow, and the dvd menu system makes it easy to recap anything you forget. The introduction to the internet and goodle gets you up and running, and email now makes sense. There`s also plenty on other stuff, word and exel but I haven`t touched on them yet.
If you can`t find a decent nightclass, or find you forget what you`ve learnt, then this is perfect for you. A really good guide to computing, perfect also for the kids who can follow the more complicated stuff.
If you want easy, down to earth classes on computers, then buy this.
GREAT DVD April 9, 2009 Wozatchilton 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
its a fun video, that shows you how to do things in a simple way.
the camera work is first class - you can read the screens easily.
they dont baffle you with jargon either
and the guy with the beard who presents seems to know what he's talking about, picked up a lot of useful tips from it, so its worth the money, and good for novices to computing.
A briliant way to learn January 29, 2009 Charles D. Roberts (Oxfordshire, England) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I saw this recommended in the Daily Mirror end of November, so I took a gamble to buy it as I really didn`t know what to expect, but it`s a revelation to me so far. The chapters are well thought out, and it is taught in a really easy to understand way. I haven`t progessed through all of it, but what I`ve learnt has made a big difference, and the best part is, if you forget something, just watch the section again to remind yourself. The menu system is very cleverly thought out.
I already had a basic understanding of computers, so missed out the 1st couple of chapters on buying a computer and bits, but for anyone who is brand new they can watch this and fill out their shopping form, which seems a good idea as they go. It`s a fantastic way to learn, and if like me you`re a bit lazy, a dream come true. There`s a lot to take in, so I did it in small sections, and some bits like the Google lesson I watched a few times. It teaches you enough to get going on all aspects of a computer and Internet, you can then progress on with books for more in depth knowledge.
Overall, it`s quite simply great way to learn, just surprising nobody else has tried this method, and I`d say if you are a beginner or novice, then it`s well worth the price. And, it`s not too taxing on the brain, phew.
EXCELLENT FOR A NEW SILVER SURFER November 30, 2008 Rosalie Radburn 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I purchased this great DVD for my mother who has recently purchased a laptop. She loved the easy going, unpatronising style and gained a great deal of confidence and knowledge. I would really recommend this DVD, particularly for the older generation. There is nothing else quite like it elsewhere and it is much more 'real' that a book. A very good buy at a sensible price.
