UK prices for the iPad have now been confirmed
Today I spot that that the store is now quoting “7-10 business days” for all models which is a fair bit less nebulous than ‘June’ – however my existing queued order hasn’t been updated and still shows the same imprecise shipping date it has for more than a week.
Hopefully this website update means those of us with pre-existing orders can expect their iPad to ship within the lower end of the 7-10 business day timescale as Apple must surely see how unacceptable it’d be for anyone placing orders now to receive their item before those who’ve been kept waiting.
I’ll be looking forward to what Monday brings but Apple may want to reflect on the frustration and bad feeling their botched rollout of the iPad is creating.

Actually, this is really positive.
I know for a fact that people are entered onto a queue for stock allocation – I have been informed this several times from on the phone.
If those joining at the end of the queue are expecting delivery within 7-10 Business, it bodes well for those further up.
My order was placed on the 25th May, almost two weeks ago, so I must be reasonably high up.
Keep in mind it’s also Sunday today. So they may not be updating our shipping information until tomorrow.
I am also the same, chat support told me to phone up to find out what the deal is but I will let it go to see what happens during this week. Their phone supprt is a long irritating process I would like to avoid at all costs.
Just spoken to Apple phone line, got through in 30 seconds, and they’ve said they just received an update to say they will be delivered (i double checked what that meant and the lady said “arrived with you”)

It gets even more positive. I’ve just had an email from Apple advising that:
” We expect orders quoting “Ships: June” to update with specific shipment and delivery dates within the following 48 hours. You will receive an email notification providing you with the updated information.”
Thanks for the update Martin – was the email from Apple a general mailshot, or in response to a specific query you made to Apple?
Ordered mine 28th May, still stuck at “Estimated Shipping: June” on the Apple Store order status page.
It was a response to a specific email I sent, though the answer may be merely a cut and paste job.
My estimated shipping date now says “by june 18th” .
Order status now update to “Estimated Shipping: By June 18th”…..

Estimated Delivery: 25 Jun, 2010
My status was just updated.
I can’t say I’m pleased.

Yup, mine also says by 18th. Commiserations Jay – what model did you order?
I even got the email which said I was going to receive it on or before the 18th.
What is going on? This is a joke.
I got the “by June 18th” email also.. I ordered on 26th May.
Saying that I should have had one on launch day as I preordered with Play.com on 10th May then three days before launch they email me to say they wont be selling. I was a little furious to say the least. So its good I finally have an approx date to look forward to.

Just spoke to Apple.
My iPad is expected to be shipped on or before 18th.
It’s the accessories (VGA Adapter, Case, Dock) which will arrive by the 25th.
I’ll have two separate deliveries.
Ordered via Apple Finance on the 28th. I also ordered accessories that were on a long lead time. Advised of and end of June/ Beginning July shipping. This is what it says on order tracking. However, got an email saying that they would ship my the 18th June. Order status on web site unchanged so rang for clarification. they are part shipping my order minus the long lead time accessories by 18th June. the rest will follow at the end of June.
I ordered mine on May 28th and I have been stuck with “ships by 18th June” for quite a few days now!
